This dog has received all appropriate vaccinations and is, to the best of the seller’s knowledge, healthy at the time of the sale. The health of this dog is guaranteed for three days against any health or temperament irregularities, and it is recommended, the Buyer, have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian during this period. (Any dog going to a new home may be unsure of their self until they become familiar with their new surroundings.) Current health record will be provided to new Buyer at the time of acquisition.

Seller believes, based on genetic testing and knowledge of the health and background of breeding stock, that the dog, and the sire and the dam of the dog, to be free from hereditary defects. A full refund of the purchase price will be given for the dog returned in good condition during the first 72 hours, with corresponding paperwork & health records given to the buyer at the time of purchase. This dog is guaranteed to be free of any hereditary disabling defects which develop, to the extent of rendering the dog unsuitable as a companion animal, up to the age of two years. Determination of what constitutes a hereditary defect is to be by the unanimous agreement of two veterinarians agreeable to both parties. One of these veterinarians is to be board certified in the applicable speciality. Costs for diagnosis are to be assumed by the Buyer. If a disabling hereditary defect is diagnosed, refund of the selling price or replacement of the affected dog by a mutually agreeable dog will be made to the Buyer.

The buyer agrees to take good care of the dog, providing adequate nutrition, shelter and medical care, ensuring the physical and psychological well being of the dog. It is understood that this dog is to be maintained in a good healthy condition at all times (to be kept clean and groomed and all vaccinations be kept up to date). If at any time the dog is found to be in poor health due to neglect, abuse or cruelty, the seller reserves the right to take immediate repossession. If at any time the Buyer cannot keep this dog, is unable to care for the dog, or for any reason chooses to part with this dog, the Breeder will have first right of refusal to have the dog back. This sheltie may be returned to the Breeder at any time in their  natural life, for any reason, and the Breeder will happily accept their return. Ownership of the dog may at no time be transferred to a pet retail establishment, an animal shelter ,or any individual associated with a puppy mill, or other wholesale outlets.

It is understood that at the time of the sale this dog is a good representative of its breed and is suited as a companion, performance, and/or obedience dog. Buyer has been advised and understands the dog is being sold on limited registration and is not intended for breeding. The buyer agrees to have the puppy spayed or neutered by the age of 18 months.

Both the Buyer and Seller have read the above contract and understand and agree to all the conditions. Any deviation of these requirements voids any warranties expressed or implied. No amendments or attachments have been made or added to this contract. This contract is legal and binding.
